Developed business cases and extensive financial models demonstrating affordable, baseload natural gas, wind and solar solution for multiple projects sought for development.
Result: $0.065 kWh baseload power using renewable energy as a system.
Waste-to-Energy/Biomass
Originated, developed & negotiated deals with Republic of Cote D’Ivoire working with President, President’s Cabinet, Ambassador and staff for projects & investment in excess of $100 million.
Results: Agreement on private investment, reduced tariffs on imports, no-cost land for development and the development of transportation infrastructure for movement of waste and end-products.
Prior to development assessed financial, operational, technical and market opportunity on behalf of investment firm. Development phase included: site selection, feedstock commitments, power purchase agreement and carbon distribution and offtake agreements.
Results: Project completed on time, PPA negotiated.
Created commercialization strategy for technology acquired through University tech transfer. Analysis provided an informed business decision including market, economic, financial and technical feasibility of commercializing technology.
Results: Improved previous strategy with market-focused strategy solving real problems in multiple markets, which exceeded capital-raising targets.
Government/Utilities
Worked with Colorado’s Governor Energy Office analyzing “Renewable Energy Development Infrastructure.” The REDI Project analyzes how Colorado’s electric power sector can meet the Governor’s Climate Action Plan goal of a 20% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by 2020.
Global business development strategy and execution led to LOIs and contracts with utilities and governments in Africa, Europe, Asia, South America and North America.
Results: Successful execution strategy led to big sales and LOIs.
On team that negotiated power purchase agreements for two biomass plants in Tennessee.
